Currently, 22 are conservative, 10 are Labour, 23 are Lib Dem, and 6 are independent. 31 are needed for a majority so it is currently a council with no overall control but a rainbow alliance has formed of the Lib Dems, Labour and Independents to administrate.  All 9 Councillors representing Fenland are Conservative.  All the Labour Group Councillors represent divisions in Cambridge.
